ASBMR 2017

This year's American Society for Bone and Mineral Research Meeting was, as usual, a huge learning experience for me. In the vast majority of scientific research today, collaboration is fundamental because one person simply cannot be an expert on the breadth of fields necessary to integrate - in my case - multi-omic analyses, biomechanical engineering, endocrinology, bone biology, and orthopedics. While I love attending genetics-focused meetings, I get a tremendous amount out of seeing what is happening in parts of the aging and bone health research world that are very different than mine.
